Overcome the challenges of Managing IT in a hybrid cloud world – FREE WHITEPAPER

March 7, 2016 Leave a comment
Overcome the challenges of Managing IT in a hybrid cloud world.

The IT world is increasingly hybrid, with cloud-based computing making major advances on many areas of on-premise computing. This has opened new opportunities for applications and services that would never have been possible before. Nonetheless, the monolithic “datacenter” of the past, with heavy concentrations of the products of a single vendor in place, has not been completely replaced by the Cloud. Instead, it has given way to a hybrid environment that includes physical datacenters and clouds, decades-old legacy systems, licensed and open-source applications and infrastructure components, and cloud-based services from many different vendors.

Savision’s newest whitepaper outlines a framework for approaching IT management that combines excellence in IT Operations with a strong focus on business impact of IT systems.
Download the whitepaper to find out:
What are the different forces that are driving adoption and deployment of hybrid cloud architectures?
– What are the major trends that make today the most innovative environment ever for business, and also the most challenging IT management environment?
– What is the current state of hybrid cloud management offerings?

A fellow MVP Steve Buchanan and Savision just launched a new whitepaper regarding Service Management and the Private cloud. The whitepaper sets out to define private cloud, the layers of private cloud, and those layers within which service management operates. It also explores having ultimate visibility into your organization’s business services. Business services discussed in this paper consist of configuration items (CIs), monitoring, and application maps; they are underpinned with incident, change management, and modern day self-service. In addition, the whitepaper explores the integration between Operations Manager and Service Manager, and the role Savision Live Maps plays in this area.

TechEd Australia 2014 Melbourne and Sydney editions

October 6, 2014 1 comment

This year TechEd Australia will be held in Melbourne (Oct, 7th – Oct 8th) and in Sydney (Oct, 27th – Oct 28th)

I will be speaking about Azure Remote App on both editions and if you come along and tweet about my session you will enter into a draw to win a copy of my book along with Savision Polo.

It is an interactive demo. I will be using Hyper-V  to show how to build a custom RemoteApp image as well as demo the RemoteApp client on different devices.

Bring scale, agility and global access to your business applications. Azure RemoteApp helps employees stay productive anywhere, and on a variety of devices – Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, or Android. Integrate Azure RemoteApp with your company’s existing on-premise infrastructure and bring your own Remote Desktop Session Host, or deploy Azure RemoteApp using our pre-built app collections for a stand-alone cloud service. Quickly ramp up and provide seasonal workers, vendors, or large groups of new employees access to company applications without paying for new servers and expensive on-premise infrastructure.
